We have a great deal of confidence in the strength of the internet and our ability to build it on the right principles, but we also understand how difficult it can be to keep that momentum up and to remain relevant on a daily basis.
In addition, we’ve learned that the internet can also be an excellent platform for sharing and collaborating.
As we begin to look to more diverse platforms and partners, we’ll be actively exploring how we can help create a more inclusive workplace.
To date, we have been working with partners like Pinterest, Tumblr, and Twitter to create an inclusive workplace and we’re excited to see how these efforts play out.
With the next phase of our strategic plan in the works, we’re working hard to build the best possible product, and we will do our part to ensure that all of our employees are treated with respect and equality.
We are also working with Twitter to address issues that have been impacting our employees and are making strides in the coming weeks.
This includes: • Implementing and maintaining the company’s best practices to support our diversity initiatives.
• Working with the company to ensure our diversity efforts are aligned with our values and practices.
This will include: • Providing an ongoing series of events to encourage conversations about diversity and inclusion.
• Establishing a new Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to help manage our efforts.
We’ll also continue to work closely with our existing employees and partners to ensure they have access to opportunities that reflect our values, and continue to invest in the tools and services they need to do so.
In the coming months, we will be announcing more about how we will leverage our power and resources to make sure we are creating a workplace that’s inclusive and fair for all.
