I’m a little over three months into my work life as an apprentice at a fitness centre.
I’ve been working at a job that pays me about $10 per hour, and that’s only if I’ve got the right equipment.
That’s less than the minimum wage in many parts of the country.
So, when I started work at the gym, I thought: How am I going to make enough to make my living?
And I’ve done a little bit of research.
Here are three tips for getting started.
Get some exercise The first step is to get some exercise.
You’ll need to get a gym membership, and you’ll also need to be physically active.
There are a variety of different exercises that can help you get your body moving.
Exercise machines, elliptical machines and the like are a great way to start.
The more you do them, the stronger your muscles get.
If you don’t have the equipment, you can always get on a treadmill or elliptical.
Set a goal for your first week The second step is setting a goal.
I set a goal of a weekly total of $500 for myself.
Then, I ask for the following from my manager: When you get to the point where you can’t pay me the $500 and want to do something else, please tell me that you’ve reached that point.
This way, I can work on your work, and give you the best opportunity for success.
Start with a plan of actionIf you’re already doing a lot of things right, you might be able to get by without much training.
But if you want to make money, you’ll need some sort of long-term plan.
Here’s a quick, simple one to get you started: Make a plan for what you want the money to come from.
Then take a month off to think about the rest of the money you’ll get from it.
That way, you don: A) set a target that you can achieve, and work towards that goal; B) get back on track, and keep on doing what you’re doing; and C) get your first $500.
